Profile:

Philip Siddell - Burton upon Trent - UK

Phil says of his knives “knives and other edged tools are close companions. I use them everyday in my work as a joiner and cabinet maker and understand that a reliable tool is a highly valuable item”
Dissatisfied with factory made knives, Phil decided to set about making his own in 2005.
There is a distinct ethic and pride in Phil’s work “At the heart of my work is a desire to establish through testing and feedback the techniques which bring out the best in the materials I use. To this end I undertake all aspects of the work and regularly test my blades. I am passionate about the qualities I feel are gained in the forging process and so I am always keen to recommend the forged blade.”
