Originally working in the car industry, a serious road accident forced a change of direction which led to John studying Art and design. This led to successfully achieving a 2:1 bachelor of Arts Degree in three dimensional design, specialising in jewellery design.
Following graduation his work was exhibited both in Manchester and London where it was received with interest - and John’s knife design and craftsmanship recently recently won the hobbyist makers competition at the Exeter Knife Show.
Combined with a unique approach to knife design, John also has his own philosophy “I try to change peoples idea of what a knife is, a knife is an important tool used in everyday life and for special occasions. A knife can be as beautiful as a piece of fine jewellery.”

This unique approach, combining utility and beauty shines through in John’s designs.
